xede power sitch

Any news on when the switch will be available.

I believe PresaMat has a radio shack on off switch, but it is not in the cabin

There has also been talk of using the sunglass kit in place of the ashtray.

If it is not ready yet, will there be a need to reprogram the xede to get it to function?

There is no need to reprogram the XEDE if you already have the maps installed... also just to let anyone know... reprogramming the XEDE including getting to the serial cable takes about a total of... 5minutes. If you get the tuned map and the stock map you dont need to do any programming. If you just get the tuned map all you need to do is upload the secound map and install the switch.

There were 3 reasons I didnt put the switch in the cabin. First off the switch is nothing pretty. Two: its easy to access it in the engine bay. Three: after hearing shivs (very cool) ideas for his switch Im going to wait for that before modding anything.

Shiv does tune the cars... but that is just to get the very last bit of performance out of it. If you can get him to tune it... I would just for the experience. But if you cant his stock map is excellent.

it sounds like it is possible to have 3 settings, 2 maps on the xede, and an on-off swich for it. So you could have normal, fast, and another map for higher octane fuel should you want to use it.

I think you are right, but the on off switch might not be included in the standard map switch, although only shiv knows for sure.
