v4 4-8 maps: Day at Bandimere Speedway (Denver CO)
Thought I'd share some of my runs today at Bandimere Speedway here in Colorado.
Weather was awesome, was in the 50's and still sunny. Great for the cars. We had a bunch of folks from Denver up, you can see the pictures below. As for my setup and the run conditions: V4, Forge IC, 4 gallons 100 and 1 gallon 91 DA calculated to 5915 for todays weather conditions My v4 settings: (UT 35, IC 90) Weighed my car today, with me in it 3910 pounds (damn xi is heavy!) All in all, these numbers won't likely impress all you guys at sea level. But for me the two back to back 13.3's that I ran were pretty satisfying up here at altitude. My traps were ranging from 103 to 104, similar to the other V4 users and the one JB3 2.0 user we ran with. I'm also happy with the fact I am about .6 tenths quicker from my previous tune (SSTT) Hammer away… I missed 4th gear in the second video, if you can believe that... Looks like a great time. Great video and pics, really good documentation of your fun! Glad to see you are happy with it, 3900+ is movng some weight around!
Have you had a chance to log some 3rd gear pulls with the procede, to see if you can get any more agressive with that type of fuel mixture? |

That civic was hilarious, it sounded like it was about to drop its tranny off at the end, lolz!
Great vids, looks like you had a blast!

Bandimere has to be the coolest drag strip in the country - carved right into the side a mountain! It is a great place to be (except for the times).
Looks like a good turn out and some fun runs. I would have hoped you would have been a bit faster with procede vs. SSTT... What did other guys run? We live it every day, but I don't think people realize that altitude really does impact these cars more than they might think or be led to believe, though still better than an NA car. Thanks for the videos.

As for the other cars, -we had a Dinan 6mt running 14 flat. -A couple stockers running mid 14's -An XI (and I) with JB3 on map 3 running 13.5's -Another v4 running 13.4 but he kept having troubles that was narrowed down to bad spark plugs. I think he's gonna be in the high 12's being he has DCI, Catless DP and V4. I'm anxious to see how the car does in Vegas end of this week. Heading out the Mfest and will finally get a chance to see how it does at a lower altitude. |
