Side Mirror Replacement Question..

Hello Everyone.
I am a new owner of a E90 2007 335i Sedan. The car is being shipped to me and I am trying to pre-order a replacement part in advance of the car's arrival).
I purchased a sedan with the passenger side rear-view mirror cracked and I am trying to find a replacement for the mirror. The car is a USA car and has the premium package and sport package but not the cold weather package.

So my first question is
1. Are my passenger side and driver side mirrors heated.
2. Are the passenger side and driver side mirror auto dimming.

Second question:
I went to realoem.com to find part numbers and I seem to have two choices..

The two choices are
1. Without Heater Chromglas Mirror glas, convex right (I am pasting text as I found it so I am not misspelling it).
2. Blauglas Mirror Glass Heated Convex Right

My question is
Does anyone know the difference between chromglas and Blauglas..

Your side mirrors would be power, heated (both standard for US-spec cars), and auto dimming since the car has ZPP (premium package). The mirrors are also power fold with ZPP.

I think you were looking at the diagram for cars without heated mirrors. Per this diagram, you should need BMW #51167144306 (heated, convex right, elecrochromatic) which is $307.34 from BMW or $248.54 from Tischer.

Those are the prices just for the glass portion? Or for the entire assembly? Yikes

Just the glass. The electrochromatic glass is still relatively expensive technology. That plus your standard BMW parts markup means expensive.

Yeah, definitely shop around and try to save some cash. You might even want to check nearby scrap yards - if they have any E90s, I'm sure you'll get a piece of glass off them for cheap.

Well. I did order the replacement part from Tischer but the mirror does not seem to be correct one. The electrical contacts matched up fine and the mirror snapped into place, but the new mirror (passenger side) seems to be way more convex than the driver side mirror.
It is very disorienting cause things appear far away in the passenger side mirror and close in the driver side mirror.. By any chance is this by design from BMW? Or was I sent the wrong mirror-glass (seems more likely?). Any info would be appreciated.. The replacement mirror sent to me did NOT have the part number on the back...

I have a 2008 335i sedan w/ the sports package but no premium package.

Can anyone tell me which mirror glass I would need or how I could check. It's going to be for the passenger side.

Any insight is appreciated.

All cars in the US have a convex passenger side mirror and a flat driver's side mirror. That's why all passenger side mirrors are stamped with "objects in mirror are closer than they appear".

With no ZPP, your mirrors are power and heated but not electrochromatic. Therefore, you would need BMW #51167157244 "Blauglas Mirror glass heated convex right" which is $84.32 MSRP or $68.56 from Tischer.
