HELP! Auto Door Lock?!
Ok, I feel like a total newb here but how the hell do you set the doors to auto lock. Coming from an e36 and e46 I feel like an old fart not knowing how to set up the car! I have an e92 and have read the manual but I can't find the "set" item with the lock picture to configure the auto lock.
What am I missing here?? |

You have to use the signal indicator on the left side of the steering wheel. There is a function button and you have to scroll through the menu to find the door lock settings. It should be in your manual.

Thanks but my post says I did read the manual. When I scroll through I get a "check", "set time" and "set date". That's all. Then with the ignition on it adds "check TPM" and "check oil". That's it .... what am I missing?

I am not sure if the 328i is the same as 330xi when it comes to door locks. In the MY2006 330xi, the auto locking has to be programmed by a BMW dealer. When programmed in, the locking signal is invoked by putting the car into motion, at a certain speed.

car probably needs to be on (engine running, or just press the start button until you see your check engine light) and in park. BC accesses different functions depending on whether you're in accessory mode, running and in park, or moving.

What year is it from?
It probably needs to be programmed by the dealer. My sister's e90 328 of 07 didnt have these settings nor are they in her manual, but they are in my 09 manual. So the software didnt add the ability to change these settings until sometime in between. My sister however, now has these settings in her stalk menu
