Car Advice, Need Input

I need to get a new company car. Due to corporate budget cuts I'm looking at other brands (so I can get an M in a couple years). The car HAS TO LAST for 180-200k before a major rebuild. I'm looking at the following cars:

2010 Jetta TDI ($25k)
2008 G35 ($25k)
2008 Accord EX ($17k)

I'm really leaning towards the Infiniti because I spend a LOT of time in the car (20k miles per year). I'm thinking going from driving 3's for the past 10 years is going to be a hard adjustment moving to a Jetta (control, wind noise, etc).

Do you think a G35 will last that long? Does anyone own and spend 2-3 hours in a Jetta? Thoughts?

My last DD was an '07 Accord EX-L which was a great car, put 55k on it in just under 3 years - I do about 25-30k per year between a few different vehicles. Right now I'm splitting time between the E90 and a '10 RAV4 Sport V6.

What's your budget, $25k? You can get a brand new Accord (or Accord Coupe) with leather, sunroof, and some other goodies for that money. I'd go for an EX or EX-L coupe or sedan (depending on what you want) way before a Jetta.

The new Jetta is actually a solid car. I know a couple people who moved from Audis to the new Jetta. I would take the Jetta and then the Accord. The G35 was cool 10 years ago. Its a POS now IMHO. Plus, they dont wear well.

What about a Accord or CPO BMW?

Yeah I was amazed at how poor their fuel economy is! It's horrible. Mileage isn't a big deal though because I'm compensated for gas.

Not sure, tough call there. If you need it to last 200k, I think you're better off with the Accord. Not that a CPO BMW wouldn't last 200k, but it would be much more expensive to maintain. It depends on how much you value having the BMW or if you prefer to have a new car.

Um hello? The Infiniti is a no brainer. Do you want to be miserable driving for the next 3 years?

Accord for sure. The wife is an attorney that drives over 30K within CA each year and that Jetta didn't hold up at all in one year (was brand new) so we got rid off it for a CPO X3. She didn't want to do the Accord.

I plan on paying the car off in 3 years and driving it for 8 years. Otherwise the Inifiniti would be a no brainer. Even on the Infiniti forums, they don't seem to have much confidence in the cars after 130k.

Was it a TDI? Consumer Reports, as well as several friends, have only reported problems with the non-diesel models.

I still have an Accord for trips associated with work and such rather than leaving my BMW at the airport or driving long distances, great car.

really? I guess they've gone down in quality then, my 01 QX4 has 158,000 miles on it and has been amazing but completely different car and completely different engines. I remember those 3.5L V6's they put in everything for a while are suppose to be pretty good though. It just sucks going from a bimmer to a honda. And hey, people on here don't have confidence in there cars after 10k miles so 130k is great compared to that lol

I would go with the Honda. The Infiniti's plastic and body parts don't seem to hold up as well after a few years and about 100k miles. I know this from personal experience.
