Glad you did it! Good job. Do you know when those things were last changed?

to be honest..no clue whatsoever but the way they look i bet u those are the stock plugs..the car has 90k..im sure its also the stock microfilter..the air filter ill say maybe 20k It was just amazing to see how much crap was on the intake box itself..and the microfilter was nastier than it looks.. Now next step: Coolant flush powersteering flush rear diff flush Tranny flush (still looking for a write up for a steptronic tranny) Raul |

So you don't know the maintenance history/service records of the car prior to getting it?
Wish I could help you on the steptronic oil change, but I have a manual. Danny Quote:

I know it was a lease and it was serviced at BMW during the whole life BUT problem is that intervals between services at bmw is just ludacris 100k for spark plugs? 18k for oil? 46k for microfilter? I guess this stupid dealerships never heard of a lil city called LAS VEGAS where situations are extreme throughout the whole year Its sad to see also people in my town getting RAPED by the dealership Dealership on parts wanted around 385 for parts.. I got all the parts off pelican for 117 shipped the next day\ Bmw wanted to charge me about 6 to 8hrs of labor for everything ..so around 550 on labor...my cost A TWELVE PACK OF MODELO and a big thank you to my boy that spotted me |

Again great job!! So yea, you can at least assume those things.
Your on the right track. A slight bit of bad (not really bad) news is the rear differential only has the fill hole, so you'll need a transfer pump or similar. Danny

You did a very good job on both maintenance and the pictures. It is quite likely the spark plugs you have replaced are the ones installed in 2006 in the factory.

thats what we were thinking..because the service for them was another 10k and im around 90k ..and the fact that they say BMW on them too.. car is responding better, lest dust in the cabin (specially here in vegas) and the car is a lil more responsive.. best part..already gaining some MPG!! |
