Tint stops chips?

So my windshield is pitted like crazy due to my new route to and from work, I already and two chips and a crack and it's only been like 3 months. If i lightly tint the windshield will that stop it from chipping (With the covering holding it together)? Anyone know...? And anyone have pic of a lightly tinted windshield?

...tint is placed on the INSIDE of your windshield. So no, it won't help.

you could probably apply a venture shield type product....but i doubt window film is going to look good after a few decent sized rocks hit it

If your route has lots of loose gravel, give some extra space between you and the guy in front of you. You might get cut off more, but the 5 minutes every day it costs you will save your paint & glass bigtime.

very true..

your insurance should cover your windshield if it cracks or chips severely.
