Will 16's fit on a 330xi? (With 17's stocK)??

Can anyone confirm? Looking for a set for winter tires.

Thanks,

RK

No, 330's need a 17" rim minimum to clear the larger rotor and caliper. 323's and 325's can accomodate 16" steel wheels however. Also BMW does not recommend the use of 17" steelies in any case as they say that the limited airflow does not provide adequate brake cooling.

I myself bought a set of replica E39 M5 wheels with snow tires for the winter. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=33883

It's worth checking out whats available from 1010Tires.com or TireTrends.com. Both are based out of BC and have good prices, you can find 17" alloy rims compatible with our cars for around $150 a piece if I'm not mistaken.

Is the same true for the E90 335i? I just ordered mine last Saturday and am hoping my 17inch snows from my 330ci will fit this car. The dealer wasn't sure if 17inch tires would fit, but that makes no sense to me.

Well the 335i does have bigger brakes then the 330i so there could be a hance they don't fit. hopefully that won't be the case

The 17" tires shouldn't be a problem, but if you've got 17" steelies, then you may not be able to use them. Every source I talked to (dealership, tire dealers, this forum) says that steelies should not be used on the e90 330i w\ sport package.

However, if you trust your dealer and they say it'll work, then go for it. I ended up paying just over $1800 (including taxes (14% here) and shipping) for these --> http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=39207
