18 or 19" wheels in LA
Hey guys,
I'm thinking about getting new wheels for my e90 but i was wonder what sizes I should get. I live near USC and the road conditions are pretty bad around downtown so I was wondering if 19" r too wide so survive the potholes and the crappy road conditions? anyone has any experience you can share?? thanks! |

19s do look better
but 18s can hold wider tires.. If that's important to you

I'm at USC and running with 18s, so far so good.
Once you drive around a bit you'll know where all the really bad holes are and can just avoid them so 19s might not be to bad. I avoid the pothole at the Vermont and Jefferson intersection everyday lol. |

drove around USC all the time last year in 19's no problems so far. have CSL reps no issues, i hit the mother of all pot holes on the highway 2 months ago (had to be 2 feet wide and 3-4 inches deep and the wheels got checked and everything was good, except my alignment

Go with 19s, you might regret not having gone bigger if you settle for 18s. If you live in LA, you're going to hit potholes eventually. No amount of care is going to keep you completely safe and if you stress about it too much, you'll end up not enjoying your car at all. VMR and LC wheels hold up very well on bad roads.
