Am i the only 1 that tries to park next to other BImmers?
Everytime i pull into a mall/parking lot i look for other bimmers to park next to i donno why, even if its like kinda out of the way to walk i still do it. I caught myself driving almost to the otherside of a parking lot just to park next to a hooked up 3, Like if a guy was ganna leave a post it note on my car that says " nice ride" lol.......... Just wanted to know if i was a lone wolf with this 1 .

Don't feel bad I'm 31 and I still do it. Hell sometimes I would even stand there for a minute and stare at the Bimmers. People walking by are looking at me like I'm crazy but they just don't understand. We're like some sort of a car sub-culture.

+1. id like to think that the bimmer owner next to me cares about there car as much as i care about mine. at my gym theres a sedona red 135 and an AW e92 M3 that i try to look for when i go.

Ya im 31 and i know what you mean, altho i find myself parking far away for the most part mainly because of door dings and or ppl horsing around in the parking lot. Everyone ideally wants to park close to the stores and do not care as much as we do about our cars.

I look for 1 of 2 things.
1. A spot next to the curb that I can get right up to, next to a snow bank, etc where I can eat up as much space as I can and know for sure at least 1 side wont get a door ding. 2. Park next to the nicest looking car possible in hopes that they are considerate of others and hitting others cars. |

Just don't park next to anything that has a soccer ball attached to the rear window. It will usually be a SUV or mini-van and it will be filled with annoying kids and a complete bitch of a soccer mom.

i will park far as hell away so i dont get a ding in my door. i hate people & it seems like people dont have any respect for other peoples things. when i was younger i worked in a supermarket & on my brakes i would sit outside. people would take the carts & toss them in hopes to get it in the cart port. 8 out of 10 times it hit a car, they didnt even go look to check & they would leave!

I like looking at other BMW's, and will probably only find one to park next to if I go out driving with my buddies and we all park next to one another, which is probably going to end up being away from everyone else. Other than that I don't hesitate (its actually automatic) to park a good distance away in a parking lot. NO ONE likes to walk. Saves the trouble of worrying about a keyed door

I do it, or I try to find a car that is as well maintained as mine. There is less of chance for door dings and such if you park next to a nice car.

I always park on the end so only one car is next to me. Or by other nice vehicle brands BMW, Audi, Mercedes, etc. I figure they care about thier cars and won't ding me up. Definately no big trucks. Mini vans aren't bad either becasue they have sliding doors...last resort though.

If it's a high performance BMW then it's safe to park next to, but if it's got an auto trans or is a pedestrian bread-and-butter 328 then I assume them to not be a driving enthusiast and therefore have they may not be any more careful than a 20 year old rusted civic driver, and I park away.
