E91 Confirms MP3 and WMA playback

The tech docs for the E91 confirm that cars with Idrive (through CD and DVD drive ) and all cars with CD-Changers will be able to play MP3 and WMA files from the start of production.

Folder name, music track or song title and ID3 tag information will be displayed

So this should be added o the others via a software upgrade ( still looks like September upgrade )

Bitch to Steve Jobs & Bill Gates about that one. I chafes me that there are now CDs being sold that I can't rip onto my iPod. Those mother [expletive deleted]stupid, greedy [expletive deleted][expletive deleted] at the RIAA have a little bit to do with it as well.

Yes !

I took the gamble and ordered my E91 with CD changer, hoping I would be able to play WMA's. I'll have about my entire cd collection in my car.
