I Went to dealership with PBX
2 days ago I had a flat tire lights on and I figure there is a nail on my L/H rear RFT. I took it to the dealership and they changed a brand new tire for me FREE coz I was covered. They also did a free oil change and fluids top up for FREE. Before I took off to the dealership i removed the injen intake (15mins) and installed the stock intake (10mins). I also put my PBX on Map 0. And ofcoz they didnt find out anything about the PBX

Thanks! good to know.
I am wondering what will happen if they try to do some kind of software update though? If you spent 25 min on take out the intake and putting it back might as well just do the same with the chip maybe?

Just a question (I was reading the appropriate thread, haven't heard anyone mention this): how do you change settings on the PBX? Is it from within the cockpit? Is there a remote? A switch? etc...

I believe there is a procedure involving the number of times you depress the throttle while the key is in and the engine is not running. I wonder - if a BMW tech is familiar with the tunes available and how to switch maps, he could try to switch to a non-pass-thru map and then hook up the car to the computer. Would he be able to detect the PBX at that point?

Starting car in "listen mode" passes signal through PBX - no map. |

So i've got what appears to be a faulty tacho, if they have to replace it, will they need to access the ECU, or just plug a new one into the wire? arggh, pain in the ass to remove both PBX AND injen
