Camber
Just a quick question.
Is it better to have the rears whith less neg camber than the fronts, even if the fronts have low neg camber. ie my car was just aligned and they could only get -1.13 out of the fronts (pins pulled). The rear they maxed to -3 which is way too much i think for the street. Im going to go to a different shop, should i have them drop the rear neg camber to be the same as the fronts? Or should i just change the rear to somehting like -2?

-3 is way too much camber in the rear if the fronts are only -1.13. Rear camber on these cars should never be more than the front, in fact they turn better with slightly less camber in the rear than the front.
Also, you should be able to get more than -1.13 up front with the pins pulled. I have -1.65 up front with my pins pulled (stock otherwise).

Each car is a little different. I was barely able to get -1 in the front when I pulled the pins. I ended up adding washers to the strut to get to about -1.6

I went to a dedicated suspension shop and they managed to get -1.5 for the fronts and they lowered the rear camber down as well. So now everything is much better.
So lesson learnt, dont go to non-suspension specialists for alignments.

What you can also try is swap left to right, it's common use @ CSL and makes it possible to go to 2,4 negative (pins out).
My setups: - with pins in place max 1,00 - without pins max 1,15/1,2 - after swap left/right max 2,4 |

There is an inexpensive bolt and washer "shim" kit for the E36M3 that adds neg camber to the front knuckles in ~0.5 degree increments per washer. Turner motorosports has them. Kit allows stock setup to achieve nearly -3 neg camber. Fast and simple, does not require removing struts. More info in other threads here. They fit the Z4M just fine. good luck!
