Clearbra/Tint locations

Anyone have or know of any good Clearbra and/or tint locations near the Performance Center? Picking my car up down there on Friday and if there's a good local shop that can do the work before I head back up north that'd be great.

Have you seen a clear bra installed, in person? I was hell bent on getting one put on our car until I saw it in person. I've seen it on white and black and IMHO, they look horrible!

Hmm, don't think I've seen one installed in person. Guess I'll look into that a little more before deciding on the clear bra. Thanks for the heads up.

They looks fine, much better than a bunch of rock chips in your car.

Use painters tape and tape it in the performance center.. and drive back to MD. I did that last week when I pick my car up there.

Drove down last week from Performance Center in SC

I pick up my 135i along with another M3 who we drove 10 hours back down to Miami after the performance center redelivery.

We both uses painters tape to tape up the front to prevent any bugs or rock chips on the 10 hours drive. It looks funny but it is well worth it.

Here are the pics.

I can understand the painters tape on a trip like that especially with it being a new car. Clear bra's look like crap about 1 month after you get them on. I'd rather repaint my hood every couple of years instead of having to look at that silly seam and the obvious yellowing on light color cars.

Clearbra's kind of remind me of going to grandma's house and seeing all the nice furniture with vinyl covers on them. You can tell the furniture is nice looking underneath, but whats the point if it's ugly ALL the time because of the covers?

I know alot of you have concern about clear bra. The material now these days will not yellow. I just had clear bra done on my 1 series and they look fine. I would rather have the bra than having small rock chips and nicks on my hood and bumper. Believe me, you would be much happier with that than repainting the bumper if you travel alot on the freeway. I even have small tire piece hit the bumper and the bra take it on real good.

I had had clear bra done on my previous car, 04 Mini, 03 Mitsubishi Evo, 09 Civic and I even put them on myself and didn't found any issues after 4 years, not yellow or anything. If you don't like it, you can just peel it off and the front still looks new, I guess it really depends on how people look at it.

Many cars now has clear bra on door handle and rocker panel when it comes from factory so it is not much different of having it on the front bumper or hood.

One would say why not just repaint the bumper or hood when it all stone up, I guess it is to the point when you trade in the car with a clear bra on or a repainted hood and bumper. The car will worth more with original paint on compare it with the same car with a repainted hood and bumper since the paint may not match.

I guess I just haven't seen a "good" one yet. Everyone I have seen, especially on white cars, is very noticeable.
