Anyone with a 335 or even 330 interested in a Launch meet with E60s?

Sorry to the ultra short notice... but a few E60s are going to have a Launch Meet this Saturday in Huntington Beach. I was wondering if any e90s or e92s would care to join in on our meet? The following e60s will be present: 545 SMG, 545 6-speed, (2)550 SMGs, 550 Step, and a Lexus IS350. The IS350 owner also happens to own a 545 SMG. Please PM me if anyone is interested. We would love to have our fellow bimmer brothers present. The launches will be timed with a G-Meter which will record 0 - 60 and 1/4 mile times. Anyone with a 335 that has already broken in their car? or dont care about break in procedures?

I would really be interested to see how fast the new 335 is and how it compares with the 550 and Lexus IS 350.

Launch meet means... Launching the car from 0 to 60 as fast as you can. Sure... 325 is welcomed... just really curious how the 335 fairs against the other guys thats all...

How accurate do you think these G-meters are? We were having problems with getting it to work consistently a few days ago.

Not sure... But I think its pretty close... might not be off by too much... at most 0.1 sec or 0.2 sec... it gives a good estimate / baseline kind of thing of what your car can do. Some of the guys who use it on the E60 board who are not from CA are getting really good times.

I've been getting pretty consistant times on my IS 350.

5.00 to 60 mph 1/4 was 13.63 sec
5.15 to 60 mph 1/4 was 14.0x sec I forget...

worse run 5.5x sec to 60 mph.

And those that have actually went to a drag strip with time slips their times are really close to what I ran with the G-Meter.

P.S. Never timed the 545... Not really interseted in burning up my clutch for a car that I know isnt awefully fast... to 60.

Haha... Just found this thread again. I forgot all about it. Yeah, it was a classic duel between EBMCS03's IS350 vs a 550 Step. They were nech-to-neck up to triple digits.

The IS350 got the best times... AGAIN.

We're planning on another Launch Meet sometime in the month of October. Let EBMCS03 or I know if you are interested. And this time, I'm going to kick hollywoodtrash's a$$ if he misses another Launch Meet.

Yeah, I remember you when you and Chris cut in line at the Queen Mary. That's crazy b/c your name came up Saturday night. Oh, yeah now I remember. Chris helped you get the e90 325 from Irvine BMW. That's how your name came up. And, he mentioned he got the chance to test drive the 335i. Now, that bastard is trying to convince me to get a M5 from Irvine too. Not going to do it. Not at MSRP.
