procede 6at beta WOW!

good god Shiv...what have you done. This is the biggest improvement Ive felt since I got a procede. Wow!! Instant amazing torque and it simply screams to redline. How did you get the 6at to shift so fast? My car is stage 1 (I think), with shell 93 and dci and I have it set to ut 75 and ign. corr. 75 and my car is faster than ever by a large margin. You just have to drive it to see what Im talking about. Im going to get in a lot of trouble with this car. great job team vishnu.

Im going for a longer drive and will give some more feedback for procede owners later tonight. Im glad I didnt jump the gun with the GIAC flash. In this latest iteration the performance is remarkable.
If any beta testers want to add their experience to this thread feel free to do so.

another thing is the map switching changes much quicker and being able to go to valet on the fly is a nice touch.
Im so blown away by the changes I had to write something.

When I 1st got my Procede I was happy with the performance, the car was very much faster but my butt dyno didn't "feel" it like I thought I would. With the new map WOW is right. I'm stock and have the UR 70% and ign corr 100%.
My butt is smiling now, can't wait to start putting some mods on the car and really see what this Procede can do.

I'm running stage 1 and these beta maps are dramatically different on top end delivery.

There is a new found surge of power that kicks in at 4500 rpm that was never there before.....and it keeps pulling strong and linear into the upper rpms.

I feel that the Procede always had a superior bottom-end, and this latest map improves boost ramp up even more than before.

But I am really blown away by the top-end performance.

It actually feels very comparable to my JB3 1.3 in terms of upper-end thrust.

The car is really linear in terms of power delivery and retention of thrust throughout the power band.

You seem to be stock from your mods, other than a drop in filter. So how come you're running a UT of 75%? I thought 70% (default) is what you're supposed to run, and not bump it up without mods, considering stage 2 is 80%?

my car on 93 octane has always run best on 75. Ive been using it forever and I have a vishnu dci. I think the shell 93 is what makes it work so well. .Not all 335i's are the same. Even stock my car has felt better than any 335i loaner Ive ever had. maybe its because its an early production model...who knows? Thats the beauty of the procede. find the right settings for your particular car. Some other cars might not do so well at these settings but mine does.
btw..there are lots of users that run a ut of 75%.

I never said before that a previous map felt much faster than the one before it. These changes are very noticable and makes for a much faster car it seems. It starts very very strong and now it doesnt let up all the way to redline. right before redline it pulls even harder. I love it. All the previous changes to me seemed very minor. this is a big difference.

I run stage 1 at 75% UT instead of the recommended 70%, and it seems to work the best on my car due to the combination of 94 Octane and aftermarket intercooler.

If I set UT any higher I find performance becomes less consistent.

I think the higher octane helps to support more boost because of higher knock suppression. Also with the lower pressure drop of the intercooler, I can run a bit more boost without spinning the turbos more, thereby avoiding escalating intake temperatures.

The car just feels right at this setting for me.

Any boost logs before and after? Just curious to see what he is running up top now.

I almost wonder if it has anything to do with the temp dropping almost 20 degrees over the last few days. My car feels like a rocket now and I'm still running the same map.

That's a very good point, as cooler temperatures improve performance.

It's been about 15-20 degrees cooler in my neck of the woods for several days now, and I tried the new beta maps just last night.

So for me at least, the cooler temps have been consistently present before and after the beta map install.

70's to 80's during the day, and around 60F during the evenings.

Just a week or so ago we were pushing into the 90's around here.

No, it only appears that way to trolls who apparently read every Procede post with disdain and then offer nothing.

The new map switching is excellent. I thought it would be cumbersome but not so. Too much traffic this am to do any real testing, that will follow. But the only way map switching could get better would be voice activation. Engage warp drive, warp 1 or 2. Now that would be cool.

.
Actually it appears that way to everyone.. Its a norm around here though, you see this when the JBcamp releases a new version as well.

I guess this is the advantage of having a continually evolving piggy over a standardized flash.

I think one of the main advantages over this latest map is how shiv handles boost during AT shifts. It looks really really impressive

Glad you AT guys finally got in on the fun. These latest(greatest) batch of maps really do just run through the rev range faster and smoother than ever. The DTC map switching is just the icing on a really delicious cake. Good job Vishnu.
