tint and comfort access
I know this has been asked before, but search of threads does not seem to be definitive. The question is does tint, specifically metallic tint affect comfort access? If the sensors are in the door and fin, how can tint affect confort access? THANKS!

No affect on mine whatsoever with my metallic tint. Antennas for the door handles are in the door handles themselves, so it makes no difference.

Two antennas in the handles, one in the rear window for CA. The rear window antenna can be impacted by metallic tint, based on the experience of some here with metallic tint. I believe that's the receiver for the trunk.

Exterior antennas (for unlocking and locking) are in the two front door handles and the rear bumper. Interior antennas (for starting the car) are in the front and rear center console and in the trunk. Total of 6 antennas.

^^ Yeah, I think I was remembering it wrong. Here's the info I was remembering from E90Fleet, which seems to match up with what you're saying: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showpo...43&postcount=3
"The system basically has 3 transmitters , 1 external receiver and 3 Internal receivers. 1 in each front door, 1 for the boot (Trunk for our USA friends) and 2 in the passenger compartment and one in the boot. And 1 receiver in the rear windscreen." There's more explanation in the post I linked about how it works. Also, though that post says that metallic tint had only reported problems in the E46, if you search some more of the older threads, you can see that metallic tint on the rear window seems to impact CA on the E90 as well. Not sure about E92, but I assume it works the same.
