easy question

If i am past my warranty anyway, and I choose to go to the dealer for alignment, do i need to take the JB3 out? Not worried about voiding warranty, but for when they reset DCT. will have a tune affect it in anyway?

they might bump up the price and tell you because you have something installed that wasnt recommended by bmw blah blah but i think you should be fine because your paying for it eitherway without warranty

If you are out of warranty, then you can take the car in track prepped and they won't care. They are still going to charge you for the work they do to the car and you are not going to claim to get any work done for free under warranty. My question, however, is why not go to an independent shop since you are out of the warranty and free service period? The dealer will typically charge much more than your independent shop.

it might mess up the HPFP 120k warranty though.

If you're going to the dealer, take it out. The car still has other warranties (like HPFP as noted above) beyond the original 4yr/50k. Why risk it?
