Talking New here and need info on bmw performance intake kit.

Hi all!! I bought my first BMW 4 months ago and i'm soo in love with it

It's a '06 325i with sport package ,6 speed M/T

I managed to get a couple speed tickets already :P, but i still want to get a bit more hp from its soo nice 3.0 lt engine... i'm thinking about having installed the BMW performance intake and exhaust kit do you guys know about how much hp and torque i could get out of it??

Thanks in advance

Cheers!!

Welcome to E90post.

Users of the intake have been experiencing a 55+ HP gain.

You have 215 HP. 5 hp might be overdoing it. I think BMW claims 3. Either way, puts you at maybe 320. Do it for sound/throttle response. For power don't bother. If you want power it will be expensive, and by the time you are done you almost might as well have gotten a 335i (and it would be faster).

There is a system that used to be available that would get you closer to a 330i in hp, but I think it was 3kish in price, and it involved a remap and possibly headers (I can't remember) among other things.

You can also get LSD which is about as expensive. At that point you will be around 6k in and (likely)be a bit faster than a 330i.
