I just experienced the same thing picking up my 09 a few weeks ago. I was a bit shocked to say the least, that a $40,000+ entry-level premium vehicle did not come with something so basic as carpeted floor mats.

If you can, I would talk with your dealership again. I almost gave up on delivery day and was going to just purchase a set from them, but they ended up "throwing in" the OEM set for me.

That's how BMW rolls, floor mats are not standard on 3-series in the US, go figure.

That's strange, my 09 335 came with floor mats. They should give you carpeted and all-weather rubber floor mats as far as I'm concerned, but the carpeted ones at the bare minimum.

On my 07 they were, or they just threw them in

The car comes with carpeted floor mats. My CA also threw in the all weather mats.

It is silly. The fact that you have to pay for leather seating in a car that costs this much is also painful.

You have to ask for free floor mats when you cut the deal...

Your CA is cool and gave you both, because the car mats are not included in the base price.

My CA told me that it came with carpeted floor mats, but he would throw in the all weather ones.

Exactly, car mats are not included on the 3. If you received them your CA is cool and just threw them in the deal.

The car DOES not come with mats. Although many dealerships routinely put them in all their cars. BTW, they are a POS. If I didn't get mats I would buy non BMW mats. Mine show serious wear and are coming apart in 20k miles. If I had paid for them , I would make BMW replace them.

I have been equally disappointed that an 09 335i equipped identical to my 07 will cost $3500 more. CA rationalized the price increase by saying that the increase in price is accompanied by a higher residual??? Now for a suggestion. Before you go out and buy or lease another 335i. Check out the 2010 S4. I know some on this forum are Audi haters and others are just dyed in the wool BMW lovers. I have no problem with either group. BUT having leased both Audis and BMWs over the past 15 yrs, I find both brands to have some very nice machinery. If you check it out, you may be surprised at the price, performance and level of equipment you get.

I got the all-weather ones with my car when I picked it up back in May. I didn't realize they weren't normally included though, even my previous Acura came with a set of floormats.

Yep, as others have said.. if you got the carpeted or all-weather (or both!) floor mats, your CA was nice as they are not included in the base price of the vehicle. My CA told me he would throw in the all-weather floor mats, but I didn't know the carpeted ones were not included. He ended up throwing those in for me too after much inquiry so I can't complain.

50K car that performs like a 70K car with no floormats... yeah makes sense to me.

mine came with carpeted mats and I didn't even ask though. Depends on the dealer but you can get them to include them at time of sale.
