Any other bang for buck mods ideas.

Was reading a thread in the 135i forum, and figured i'd ask the same of ours..

I've got an Injen intake coming and am getting front and rear sway bars installed. Other than that it gets expensive.

Are there any other things you can do to boost the power a bit, like upgraded leads and spark plugs, or pulleys (what is a pulley and what does it do?).

I'm not very technical, just interested to know if anyone has any crazy hair brained schemes to get more power out of their car for less?

thanks for referring to MY thread

i cant explain pulleys, but i know that good ones do add a lot of power

you could try the golf tee mod to add a little deepness to the exhaust

i am doing the clutch delay valve mod as well

I wouldn't touch any performance products for N52 engines...
but if you insist, I would get lighter wheels and get rid of RFT, get descent lighter aftermarket exhaust.....thats about it.
Maybe wait for ecu reflash later on...... Or put supercharger/turbo after your warranty expires... that's what I am planning to do.....

Well, there are a lot of easy mods for our N52 power plant.

You can upgrade the cam, increases hp and torque

As said before you can do a golf tee mod, I like the car being quiet at low rpm so I didn't do it.

I just recently put in BMW Performance Pedals, and a UUC SSK which made the world of difference.

CDV is always a good idea...I'm still thinking this project over

I've been told that it's not possible to force induction on the N52 valtronic engine without getting into major problems.

The BMW performance intake is pricey, but I think it's well worth the investment. After about 2 weeks of driving with it, I can really tell the difference in torque delivery.

I went to white rock one time Yuzi, took a ride in a Mormon friend's V8 muscle car, forget the name since it was some American make, but loads of fun..

NA is the go!

You ever take the 128 up north in the summer?

Lightened pulleys will only reduce rotating mass, less for the engine to start moving, like lighter wheels or aluminum drive shaft, or carbon flywheel. The drawback is less torque at the top end. The benefit is faster starts.
