Not Sure What to Do Here, Help Pleaze!

Ok so i'm ready to buy the LUX 5.0 Kit for my Angel Eyes and I found them for $200 new. But I have a friend who is willing to sell me his (used) for the same price. He is saying that it wouldn't matter new or used because the lights never burn out.

A) Is he right about the burning out?

B) Which lights do you think I should take?

For the same price, go with new. You can try to bring your friend's price down though.

In theory they don't burn out, as they are LED and actually don't have a rated lifespan from everything I've seen. See post 1 here: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=151144 Anything can burn out however.

That said, new should always be more than used IMO, just for the principal of the thing, lol. If you are fine with the deal, I guess it really doesn't matter that they're used. I'd try to at least knock a bit off of the price though.

Go with the new ones...if nothing else the wires/connections have been through less installs.
