Strange Engine Code, 02 Sensor?
So I have an 09 335i, with 6000kms on it and JB3 1.4 Beta
I am running Map 7, and just got a weird check engine light, when checked on the Bavarian Technic Scanner, it shows the following code: 2C3F Code:
2C3F: 2C3F DME, internal error: Lambda probe, evaluation component Error will cause a warning light Error is currently present Test conditions have been completed Short circuit or signal interruption FREEZE FRAME INFORMATION Event 1Odometer 6456kms 4011miles status OBD-I failure in front of catalytic converter bank 1 7.00 0-n Battery Voltage 13.82 V voltage Lambda probe in front of catalytic converter bank 1 2.73 V Lambda probe heating in front of catalytic converter bank 1 21.48 % Event 2Odometer 6464kms 4016miles status OBD-I failure in front of catalytic converter bank 1 7.00 0-n Battery Voltage 11.78 V voltage Lambda probe in front of catalytic converter bank 1 2.71 V Lambda probe heating in front of catalytic converter bank 1 75.00 % Event 3Odometer 6472kms 4021miles status OBD-I failure in front of catalytic converter bank 1 7.00 0-n Battery Voltage 11.78 V voltage Lambda probe in front of catalytic converter bank 1 2.81 V Lambda probe heating in front of catalytic converter bank 1 77.73 %

I got the same code last week. Figured it was just a hiccup and erased it and it hasn't come back. But now that you mention ur also testing 1.4 beta, it's gotta be something with the software.

I would just clear the code and see if it comes back. From the sound of it, it is an issue with the beta software.

It's been cleared for the third time. Two times it came back with Map 7, now I am on Map 0 and it has not yet. So yes, beta software issue it seems.

So your best bet might be to talk to BMS directly, but from what I was told there is nothing in 1.4 beta that is different than 1.3 as far as oxygen sensor management is concerned. I also haven't seen that reported by any of my ~30 customers testing BETA_9A7_R6. If you have downpipes/sims, etc, I would suspect a physical o2 sensor issue. Mike |

n54tech.com is a much better place to discuss JB3 stuff, ESPICALLY beta stuff..
Definitely sign up there and post up about this... It's terry's n54 and JB3 support board with lots of members. You are 1000x better off going there to discuss JB3 issues, or even just general chat about burger tuning. |

I'm not sure. But as I told you before I randomly had that same code. I'm still running map 7 and after erasing it hasn't come back. Try out 1.4 map 7 again for a while and check it out. Might just be a couple of hiccups. Remember its still a beta version, even if they didn't change any of the values in the o2 controllers, could be a software issue.
