Best Offer for 2009 335i Coupe 6MT

Hi,

What is a good bargain price for a 2009 335i coupe 6MT black on black with M sports, premium?
One of the SA says 2K above invoice
Is 2K below invoice for the car a reasonable price? Nowadays, people get cars at invoice price, and it is end of the year, so additional 2K discount?
By the way, the car is new and in Crevier BMW

Thanks

Well, 2k off invoice seems rather ambitious. Its not a Kia or... Pontiac. I'd say invoice would be a really good deal, remember its the internet, everyone get thousands off what a dealer pays and knows a guy who knows a guy.. etc.

Good luck.

I paid invoice plus $750. I placed my order and agreed on the price about a month and a half ago.

They aren't even into the 2010 model year yet, so don't expect them to fall all over themselves to give the car away.

LOL. I was thinking about this as I shopped. The internet has become a giant dick swinging contest and its impossible to know when someone is telling the truth.

If you are trying to wring every last penny out of the dealer, there will always be someone that will tell you they did better. Figure out what you would be happy with and go for it.

2K may or may not be reasonable for a 2009 335 at this point, but the chance of you finding a dealer to sell one for that is very, very slim. A few months from now when the 2010s are on the lot you may have more hope.

Your best chance is to be ready to take a car out of stock at the end of the month. If the dealer is close to a unit bonus he may go below invoice to qualify for a volume based payout.

Best of luck.

Ha...$2000 off invoice...Good luck. No one would sell you hot seller like E92 at that price even if you are their loyal customer. Plus this isn't end of the year. November-December is where you get the end of the year sale unless there's new model coming in on September.

I am paying $46500 for a 335xi - M Sport, Cold Weather, Premium Packages. This was under "Family Pricing" so not all experiences will resemble this.

My cars MSRB was about 62k, and i got it for 55k plus tax.

And I don't remember the Invoice so I can't say if it was below, above, or at invoice...

but 2K under invoice is pushing it...
If they still have 09s left in December, then yeah, I'm sure you could do 2k, if not more, under invoice... but right now it is not approaching the end of the year (yet)

Hard to imagine anyone getting it at 2k below invoice. Invoice on mine was 48.5K, sticker was 52k, I paid 50k...I could have probably worked a better deal, but then again I got in on the 0.9% financing so I saved thousands of dollars on financing. In hindsight I would personally walk away from any deal more than $500-750 over invoice.

$500 over invoice should be easily achievable if the SA is a decent person.

the car you're looking at is identical to mine...

i won't tell you how much I paid but I ordered it when the recession was just past it's bottom... . now that the economy is up and dow jones is up some 1800 points since April, you're not likely to get the price you think you can have anymore.

inventories have been adjusted and supply and demand have been controlled. Hence, this is why you see BMW coming out with rediculous pricing on the 2010 3 series coupe as someone have posted...

This is your problem right now:

Because you want a M-sport plus Stick shift... this combination is particular hard to find in socal and usually requires ordering. Only a few dealers will have ONE of this combination and because they only have ONE, they will not let it go at a bargain price. This car is designed to be sold to the impulse buyer since the impulse buyer would not want to wait 2 months to order the car.

The majority of 3-series drivers (older folks), wouldn't want the M-sport kit because it cost a lot more.

Trust me, I've been there with this exact car at Shelly BMW (read my thread in the dealer review) and why I ordered. They had one beautiful M-sport on the showroom floor and they weren't about to let it go without a fight, that was until we both drained each other's energy... then he offered me a reasonable price... at which point i was too furious to want to read the paperwork... went to another dealer and ordered it for lesser price and no BS.

if you want the best price, wait until the 2010's hit the showroom floor and pick up the remaining 09's.

Thanks; I just checked the car today, and the dealer asks $1500 above invoice
Some dealers offer less than $500 above invoice for the 2010 coupe. I guess I just need to wait for 2 months;

Have a nice wait. With your expectations I imagine it will be a lengthy one.
