They refused to do it even though u are paying for it? Go to bimmersport or try another dealer. I did my own yesterday.

this doesn't make sense. why would a dealer not be willing to give you an oil change if you are paying for it?? this doesn't compute.

I had the same experience when I wanted to change my tranny oil + filter... I actually wanted a quote since I'll be doing that at 100k... at first the guy said no need for tranny oil change for the life of the vehicule.... after 5 minutes of saying yeah right, the guy said at 170k. I said I'll pay for that, give me the damn quote... after 15 minutes he gave me $1000. I said F**K U, My car in their book is worth $ 17500. That's like 7% of the value of the car. I left so pissed from there....what a scam they're runing there....

First off, do you plan to pay for the oil change? If you do, then I think they will gladly do it, but otherwise, they will say BMW won't warrenty the oil change.

If they have big jobs lined up that make them more $ than your oil change of course they'll try and get rid of you. Don't forget they're running a business....

I got mine done at BMW of Mississauga. The SA tried to discourage me of course and even had to check with the tech but in the end they didn't have any reason to proof that doing an oil change too early (in their opinion) can actually cause the car any harm.

Yes they do, for the first 4 years actually. They will generally do an oil change once a year or so for free. The OP was looking to do it sooner, that's why he would have to pay for it.

Rocco @ RMP charges 80-90 for an oil change. Not bad at all. I change my oil every 6-8K.

I'm also looking to do a post break-in oil change as well but most of the shops seem to be out in the west end............
does anyone know of a reputable place to do an oil change east of the 404?....... either that or im gonna have to swing by Parkview BMW and pay them an arm and a leg to do it

You could try Independent Tuning, technically they are east of the 404, but pretty far south. http://www.independenttuning.ca/

Yes, they are Audi/VW specialists, but Brian and crew are some of the only guys other than Rocco I trust to work on my car. Of course I'd still make the trip to Rocco.

what about Bavarian Motors Inc. (905) 479-1769. Suite 6 located at 7634 Woodbine Ave, Markham, ON they any good? A friend recommended them to me, but I haven't yet had any work done there. I hear they charge 100 bucks for an oil change.

Does getting an oil change early mess with the settings in the car? in other words, does it reset the countdown to the next scheduled (aka free) oil change?
