xdrive coilover group buy

Gentlemen,

Lets try this again.

Theres a few of us xdrive owners looking for coilovers.

Considering the exchange rate at present, lets see if we can get a group buy going on these. So far I think myself, Nate, and DerrickMD07 have shown interest.

Are there any others??

I think we've tried this before with KW - they don't do group buy pricing... might be able to save on some shipping.

Also, you should check re: availability. **********s is the only vendor I know who seems to have these in stock. Last thing you'd want is to commit your money and have them ship in late September...yikes.

Try PM Gary from Rennspec, his price is pretty decent without groupbuy. (He is in this forum)

Not sure what kind of inventory or whether he can get it ASAP.

(I bought a bunch of stuff from him, his price was the lowest, but I did not buy my V3 from him)

I'd imagine you are all looking at V1 for xi? Last time everyone backed out caz the saving for V3 for xi is not that much.

Hey guys,

Would love to help you guys out - maybe organize something in terms of shipping. I can get you guys pricing individually. But we can't do it as a group buy - Legit/Authorized KW dealers are all forbidden to do group buys. It's part of an agreement documentation we had when signing with KW.

So would love to help you guys - just let me know whomever is interested. -Ron

I am in for KW v1 for sure. Maybe we can take advantage of shipping. Let's get the ball rolling.

How about delivery and install across the border??

Derrick, I saw your post in the NY forum looking for installers in the buffalo area, but not before I posted the same question

Theres a couple of reputable shops around Detroit though. Specifically, this one http://www.nikolasmotorsport.com/contact/index.html but its a good 3.5 hour trek.

Nothings for sure, but the dollar has been creeping ever so slightly in the wrong direction.

Then there's the issue of install time. Time consuming I hear...

Coilover installation should take about 2hours. I swear by a mechanic in the Markham area. I am sure no one beats him for the quality job and price that he asks for. If interested, you can PM me for his contact.

Because I drive to Buffalo quite a bit, I am debating if I should bring it across the border myself. Really, you don't have to claim that the coilover is purchased from a vendor. It could be from a local and that you only paid him "300" for a set of brand new coilver that he no longer needs. 9/10 customs will let you through. If not, you only pay tax/duty on that amount. Again this makes sense for me b/c I travel to Buffalo quite a bit to visit friends.

Cheers

But again if there's a group buy in TO, I am down. Time is money right?

maybe if we can find a vendor that sells all the coilovers we are looking for they can set up a GB with free shipping...that would be great.

Nate had already gotten some quotes from various vendors. And I went and got my own. The quotes range from ~1200 to 1450 USD, not including shipping. Shipping looks to be around 150 USD.

I think the best we can do is negotiate a good price, and have everyone pay for their own and deal with shipping on their own.

It would suck if one person was stuck with paying duty and taxes on 4, 5, or 6 sets of coilovers.

The best availability is from **********s -- max 3 weeks.

H&R are out of stock everywhere... and I've been told 4 - 8 weeks wait.

Let me know if you guys are still interested. I'll be out of the country one week from now, but I'd like to order them before I leave... with or without you's

For the mini guys, PM ron************ and get a quote from him. I dont know what to ask for.

i think i will order and just ship to a US address (postal services across the border) shipping costs will be cheaper and ill just not declare anything on the way back. i need to get my passport renewed first to avoid unnecessary hassle
