TireRack's Road Hazard

With the loonie hovering around 93 cents I checked out TireRack for pricing on a set of tires. Definitely a lot cheaper if I picked them up at Point Roberts than shipping to my doorstep. I did note in the checkout section the cost of adding the Road Hazard. If the tires are being used in Canada can I skip that option? Do I really need it?

Oh never mind. I just read that the program doesn't apply in Canada.

I just had my Tire Rack tires installed in the States (1 hr 20 min drive) to save on duty and take advantage of the strong dollar. It cost me under $1200 USD for RE-11's plus the install of $200 usd. MAN ! they are expensive in the states for installing 19's with low profile. $50/tire. I still ended up saving about $700 canadian after the exchange.

Thanks for the info
I thought of just getting the rubber and having the install done on our side of the border.
