August Programs from BMW Canada?

Anyone get the scoop on what the new august programs are that BMW is offering?

As an example:

In June there were combined programs totalling $5100 ($1600 AT transmission credit, $2500-off cash purchase, and $1000 in-stock credit).

For the month of July those were replaced with one figure, $3000 off, regardless of cash or financing, etc.

Just curious what they're doing for August.

Sorry, I should've been more specific. Above listed were the programs for 2009 3-series cars. Not sure about other models.

This is my first post on the forum! I am interested in the August/September incentives as well since I'll be taking delivery of a 2009 335i sedan soon.

CarCostCanada is still showing the incentives that expired August 3, 2009.

Hey guys new to the board. Quick question:

Is this on top of any discounts you can get from the dealer?

So, would it be possible to get say 5% of MSRP and also get factory to dealer incentives?

Yes - these incentives should be on top of any discount you can negotiate.

Hmm... I just spoke to a sales manager the other night at a local dealership and I was told $5000, despite my telling him "cash". Either he just read the wrong line from the table in his binder, or he's holding out on me.

In my sales contract I have "4% off + any and all available programs in effect at time time of delivery". So in my case it should be 4% + 7500, not 4% + 5000.

These programs don't vary from province to province, or dealership to dealership, correct?

I just checked it again and CCC says $7,500 on 2009 335i sedan cash purchases ($5,000 on financing/leasing) from August 4 to August 31, 2009. Maybe CCC is wrong on this one - in the end, if the dealer won't pass along the incentive from the factory, it doesn't really matter what CCC says. However, I see no mention of province specific incentives on the report.

I would speak to the Manager again and see if the news just hadn't been received from HQ when you last spoke.

Well I phoned the other local dealership today (as a blind test) and checked with their sales staff and they said $7500, so that must be the real number.

I'll get this straightened out hopefully when my car comes in. (due any day now, as it's already landed in Canada).

Does this "factory to dealer" mean the dealer is getting 5000 when they sell a 1 series for example? Or is taht a incentive to a customer? I'm new to these terms!

I wish they would offer $5000 on the e92 M3. I've been so tempted to dump my lease on my 335i and jump into a M3.

Almost all massive incentives for the 3 series is for the sedans only. The coupes never get massive incentives.

Yes, and the dealer is supposed to pass all it to the customer, in addition to whatever discounts negotiated from the dealer.

Also, the dealer probably gets some credits directly from the factory that are unknown to us consumers...
