So they are still dragging their feet, ey?
I kind of gave up on the idea of a 1D in the US for awhile. Stopped researching it, stopped thinking of it altogether actually.
Then I see that VW is bringing the Golf in diesel format for the fall Power is rated at 140hp and a significant 236 ft-lbs of torque. This engine is capable of 49 mpg on the highway and 35 mpg in the city when paired with a six-speed manual transmission. Now see here... Needing to replace the current ride soon...I have this feeling that I'm going to miss the BMW Diesel experience and end up in VW land... (I've decided to go with a diesel rather than a hybrid or gasser for the next go round..) Anyone have experience with the VW diesels...? Better yet, any want to confirm that we here in the states (you know, the land where auto makers are supposed to be making more fuel efficient vehicles by 2016?) -are never going to see a high performance - high mileage BMW within the next few months?
