guys and gals,

just wanted to drop you a note to say that orchid is closed. just too much work for my partner and i who have full time day jobs and young families. naively thought that we could simply hire someone to manage for us. big mistake. you definitely need a full time owner/operator in my opinion, because no one loves a business as much as an owner would.

a few whacks on the ass, but good life and business lessons learned. what doesn't kill you makes you stronger as they say (i'm rationalizing so don't make any comments please...).

I'd hire the girls fo sho but not for work, sorry to hear that it didn't work out Nate. Take the lessons learned here and you will be even more successful on your next venture. hey at least you still got a bmw, right?

As a small business owner myself I understand how hard this is (both to open, run, and close a business), and nobody can fully understand it until they try it themselves. Good for you though to give this a go.
