Same kelvin, different brands, different lumen outputs?
Ok, so right now I have the mtec 6000k headlights which I think looks like Sh!t at night (they are very blue). However, as I was browsing through the forum, I noticed that other members here have the same 6000k bulbs with a different brand, but the lumen output on those bulbs are far greater than mine. I'll show you an example.
Here we have a member (E90life) with osram 6000k bulbs. As you can see, his bulbs produce a very bright white color with a slight hint of blue(Refer to 1st row of pic side by side) Now, here's another member(PkumarM3) with the "same" 6000k bulbs but with a different brand. His bulbs produce a more bluer light, and there is far less lumen output than the one's e90life has. (Refer to 2nd pic) And here is my mtec 6000k bulb (3rd pic), which is similar to PkumarM3's 6000k bulbs in terms of lumen output and color Pretty weird.....is it just me or is it true that even though two supposedly "identical bulbs" with the same Kelvin can produce different colors and lumen output when made by different companies? |

It is possible that the camera that took those photos yield different colours.
Unless you see them in person, a photo is very hard to judge the colour of the bulbs.

Or the mfr's specs might not be accurate, which I would think is a possibility for no name bulbs out of Asia... just a theory!
Osram is a reputable company. |
