The next level of Mobile Computing: Nokia N97

I love the Nokia N97 so much that I bought a second one for the girlfriend. If you think that IPhone or Blackberry is better, then you need to open your little eyes and check this device out. It's superior to all other phone out there, and it costs less than most BMW options that come with your car

It has a resistive touch screen, so you can touch the screen even if you are wearing gloves or using your fingernail. With Iphone's capactive touch screen, you must use your finger tip, which is a pain in the ass when typing.

Nice! If I didn't need a phone sooner, I would've waited till it comes out. I got a 5800 instead... and obviously, the N97 is way better.

don't worry, the 5800 is still an awesome phone (I got that one too)! But if you like the 5800, then I highly recommend upgrading to the N97. The one I have is the N97-1 (first batch), you can wait for the next batch (N97-2) which might see some improvements

Yeah.. I find addons to be greatest strength that Iphone has over its competitors. Some addons are damn useful you know. I'm thinking of ordering iphone 3gs.. but you never know.. the keypad on this phone looks useful

Any recommendation for which site to get these addons?

I am lazy and have not done much research on them. I just download whatever is free from the Nokia site.

this is like comparing a 'vette (iphone) to a lamborghini (N97), everyone has their own preferences and both phones have their appeals and weaknesses imho

for me, i'd take a n97 over any iphone, anyday

u gotta admit apple makes such nice products but as a phone enthusiast since the early 1990s, the iphone still lacks behind in terms of compared to some sony ericsson/nokia phones if u ask me

just my 2 cents

but you haven't explained why the iphone is a vette and why the n97 is a lambo.

personally, i think the screen input on the iphone suks azz and physical pushy buttons are the way to go, but why is the N97 the cat's meow.

For me, it's the fact that it's NOT a iphone or bb

Don't know about the iPhone, but my cheaper 5800 has options for a full keyboard, small keyboard, vitrual keypad or handwriting... and the virtual keypad is very easy for me to use with word prediction method. I had a hard time using the iPhone's screen keyboard, which is the main reason why I didn't get it. The full keyboard on the N97 seems to be great, as it hides away from view.

I wonder if Rogers' data plan supports the Nokia N97. Are they selling this phone already?
