BMW Labour Costs

Anyone know what typical BMW dealerships charge for labour on an hourly basis. I'm trying to get them to install something and I want to make sure I'm not getting ripped off (if that's possible).

I think it is $120. But the problem is not their per hour rate, the problem is how they make up the time they spend on a job! They will charge you 1 hr to replace the wiper blade that even my mom able to do that in 10 min....

Stand up, bend over, grab your ankles.

Practice a few times before you go

$120/hour, but getting ripped off at the bmw dealer is almost guaranteed. I suggest you take your installation request to an auto shop.. 99% chance that they could do the same thing for much less pay. Believe it or not, a lot of autoshops are more experienced than your local BMW repair tech.

I went today to the dealer to get a quote to replace tranny oil + filter on a e90 325i.

$ 1000

so, my calculations

My car worth to the dealer about $ 18 500

$ 1000 for this service

that's like 5.5% of the value of the car

that's a rip off !!!!!!!!!!!!!

expect the same.... cars are like printers. Cheap to buy and than they'll get you with the ink.....

What are you planning on doing? If it is something can be done by other autoshops, then dont bother with bmw.. labor is 125/hr, and they usually charge 2hr labor for half-hour job

If it's not covered under warranty I suggest you try one of this three places. Their hourly rate 90/Hr and they specialize in BMW and you can try to negotiate the price with them
