Exhaust endpipes are getting black.

Why are my exhaust endpipes getting covered with 'black dirt' after only 2/3 days? Does my 330i consume oil like Betty Ford liquor or what

How can I clean it?

And YES I drive not too slowly

It's nothing to worry about - just carbon I think from the combustion process. It's not burning oil - that's blue smoke!

For cleaning using "Brasso" or a similar chrome polish will remove it! I believe you can also use t-Cut without any problems...

Garage List
Put higher quality gas in your tank for awhile. You shouldn't have that much carbon coming out the exhaust.

I always fill her up with RON 98, not with 95(2 very common kinds of petrol in EU)

So, dunno.

UK and US octane ratings are different. Not sure how to convert them...
