Mosport DDT Trackday Collection

I found that the Toyo R888's worked much better this time with 5lbs higher pressure than I previously ran.I used the Hawk HP+ 's on the front with stocks and found the brakes to be much better than with the stock pads on the rear and the main limitation was the diff getting noisy after about 15 minutes when it got hot. This car is a ball to drive even on a slower tighter track and in comparision to an IS-F with a square 275 R888's setup that was about 1.5 seconds slower on a 72 second lap.The only faster car was a race prepared C5 Vette on Hoosiers and you will see a video of our fun a little bit later on. It is when I started going for times that the diff got hot.The diff stayed cooler and did not make noise if I was driving sidewaysWe were asked to put on a show for the video and yes,It was big time fun

I would think a few fast straights would help with the cooling. Did you have this problem on other tracks as well?

Yeah probally some truth in that and the only other tracks that I have been on has been in the wet and no issues there.I was noticing in the video that I am leaving "darkies"(bike term) in the 3rd gear corners so maybe I am spinning a lot more than I realized. This car still accelerates quite hard with a fair bit of wheelspin compared to the higher torque cars that I have had in the past where much more modulation was required. But for a stock unmodified car,it does go quite well.
