Quick fix: Logic 7 failure

I just noticed this one, whenever i leave a cd inside the disc console, the logic 7 glitch (stereo doesnt work whatever you do) does not happen. i have one cd inserted for 3 months and it never happened even once. before, it happened to me 7 times. just try it and it might work for you.

What about having the dealer fix the Logic7 problem before it gets worse?

Hmmm, I already went to the dealer for this. They took it in for 1 week, replaced the whole unit and still , it happens. Took it in again after a week and then SA told me to wait for a software update about this meaning they don't have any solution for this yet.

I started a post on this a while back. My 2009 w/L7 has an intermittent "won't turn on problem". This is my third e90, all have had L7, and none of them have even had so much as an electrical hiccup.

This is very disconcerting, as my car started having this problem w/ about 500 miles on the clock.

I understand the idea of taking it to the dealer, but for many of us, this isn't as easy as it sounds. With my work schedule, combined w/ my kids and the distance to the dealer, it's very difficult for me to get the car there. It's nice to hear and read of possible DIY's, even for issues that would be covered under warranty for this reason alone.

I guess this is more of a frustration issue, as the L7 failure on 2009's combined w/ my silent commute (after having just spent $50k) is rather annoying. It's good to get these things out on the forum as well, as at least I know I'm not alone, and in a weird way, that relieves some of the frustration!
