Brian Jessel BMW, Shuttle only for Service < 2 hours?

So my brake fluid service indicator is on, and I have Velocity I coming up May 23rd. So I want to get the service done before going to Velocity I.

I usually visit either The BMW Store (where I bought my car) or Autowest (near my gf) for service during the weekends. But they are all full for the coming weekend. I work in Burnaby so basically the only viable choice for weekday is to bring it to BJ BMW...

And what they say is, no courtesy car unless the service is over 2 hours. I was thinking... this sounds like Toyota's courtesy shuttles.... No courtesy car even if I pay $10 or whatever? Is this standard practice? Is that what BJ usually do? And I don't think other dealers does that, do they?

It's not so express (like a engine oil top up), that it doesnt' require an appointment tho. I still have to firm a time slot before they're willing to do anything for me... And they can't expect someone to sit on their ass in their dealership for an hour and a half on a weekday while they service the vehicle, can they? In fact, most scheduled maintenance is under 2 hours anyways?
