winter driving techniques
For those who live in Vancouver probably suffer from the heavy snow driving conditions last winter.
I am wondering how people manage to drive in the snow with E90 non Xi models? any special techniques you can share? look like I am going to stick with my E90 for another winter.....

In my case, I never go cheap on winter tires, and then I keep all traction controls on. And then take my sweet time when changing lanes on highways. Smooth driving is the key. No problem whatsoever. |

look where you want to go not where your car is ending up. If you look at the ditch or the pole your hands will naturally turn towards them. In other words look at your solution (the road or the open space between telephone poles) and not the problem.

Snow's gone, thread FAIL ! Please let us Canadians get over it, until next year
also, how much snow do you really get in Vancouver? My understanding is a "dusting" once and a while .. What about us in the maritimes, ontario and the prairies ... now thats SNOW ! |

Well...we learn from other people's mistakes. Apparently, this person had his summer wheels on. For your own safety, you definitly need a set of WINTERS on!!

OMG I can't believe that's Canada and people are really having trouble. That's definitely not snow. xi is good for winter but definitely not necessary - especially for most urban cities in Canada. just a good set of winter tires is plenty enough to keep you tracking on the roads. That picture is ridiculous. |
