How are you getting 1.9% on the coupe? I would say your payments with no down will be somewhere between $700 - $800/month.

If you can manage to get 1.9% leasing rates, a 328i with sport and no other options has a MSRP of $44,400 plus about $1,900 freight and PDI with a 39 month residual value of 50%, so you'd be looking at about $760/month. If you can get them to take, say $5000 off the price, you'd be looking at about $610/month. But the current advertised lease rate is 3.9%. At that rate, it would be $827/month at MSRP and $673/month with a $5000 discount. Obviously, a lesser discount will result in a price somewhere in-between.

If you want payment info based on the actual advertised lease rates, you can just go to bmw.ca and configure the car the way you want it, go to the lease calculator, set the downpayment to $0, set the trade-in value to whatever discount you think you can negotiate, and check the include taxes and include freight and PDI boxes and it will give you an accurate calculation, plus or minus a few dollars for floor mats, wheel locks, and whatever dealer options you spring for.

BMWCANADA said they are offering exclusively 1.9% lease rate and 0.9% financing rate.
hopefully they meant including e92 too...

Ok, so as low as 1.9% so I doubt the E92's will have this rate but who knows, isn't the the lease rate around 3.9% for the E92's right now?

You leasing right? My monthly payment is around $850 for 2008 E90 335i, I assume 328i Coupe should be a little bit less?

I'm somewhat suprised that people are paying 800-900-1000+ for a car payment, and a lease at that .... Only to hand the car keys in , in a few years?

Low finance rates & the times are a changing.

Glad to see that low finance rates are causing more people to own BMW's though !

Bad news for leasers is, I just bought a new 09 X3 , and got nearly 20% off sticker ... by paying the dealer with a cheque. (I have a small loan, but only small from my bank, at prime +.5%)

If your going to purchase using BMW financing (lease or straight finance) I feel you lose most of your ability to get a real deal ...

Just one mans opinion

Depends on the buyer. I would never buy or finance a BMW or any car for that matter. I like to switch cars every 2-3 years so leasing is prefect for me plus if you own the car and you get into an accident or get a crazy claim say goodbye to your resale value. With a lease you have no worries, drive the crap out of it, return it and get yourself a new car.

I don't disagree, however I take care of my cars, better than the kids or my wife however, it is true that people are buying vehicles these days (and houses) purely based on monthly payments ... which is an INCREDIBLY poor way to look at your personal finances. You can either afford the car, or not ... If you cannot still eat out, take trips, buy other things (not car related), etc ... You have made a HUGE mistake.

I will return my car, and get a new one, 2-3 years into it ... I always do. Financially, I'm sure it all works out to the same I suppose.

If I crash, well, I'll just cry I guess.

U got me worried for a sec, I took my car at 3.9% and was very happy cause it dropped from 4.9%

Yeah you gotta look carefully when you read it. Says as low as. Im sure it wont be 1.9% for coupe or sedan but if it somehow is. let us know.

$5000 discount? Is that even realistic???

I thought you could negotiate $3K off tops...

i buy/finance my car because I want to be able to, few years down the road, maybe not 2-3 yrs but definitely 4-5 yrs; i'd have the car paid off and it actually has some equity and can be traded in for my next car as downpayment, if the car still running strong after i pay it out then i have a second car and then i can look to perhaps lease my other car, having this one as back up

i leased my last car and it became my major roadblock in getting my next car last year, it was a negative equity (wear and tear and over mileage cost) and that virtually eliminated much of my bargaining power, it wasn't a true "walk-away" lease in my case, I guess if u dont drive ur car as much as i do, it's still logical to lease and walk-away with a clean slate at lease end, i had to pay $2g+ at end of lease for mileage+wear and tear so leasing is not something for me

btw, i was over by about 5000km at 15cents/km and wear and tear was about $1500. it was an A4 and the AutoVIn inspector told me all the euros are the same with high mileage lease returns, so if u have a 80000km lease and u only drive it for 60000km, the inspection should be much more lenient (2 inspections, pre-return by a third party company and the day you return it at the dealership)

if i could lease again for my current car, i'd prolly be crusing in an M3....

I made the same mistake with my last car .. an A4 as well. Leased and drove waaay over the allotted mileage. I lease my 335, just made sure to get a 30k annual allowance. Cost me an extra $55 per month over 24k. Well worth it for me considering it's my DD

Dealers were clearing the 08s in Toronto, some 335 were being discounted for as much as 7 to 8k. I think there was a 335xi that was being discounted for 10k.

The 6-series cabs were being discounted as much as 20k.
