Would my foglights melt my harness?
Hey guys I just recently purchased a set of the Nokya 2500k bulbs for my m-tech bumper and I was wondering if 70 watts might melt anything. I tried searching for what the wattage for the stock 9006 bulb was but couldn't find anything, althoguh i'm sure its a lot lower than 70w
If anyone has any input or personal experience please chime in, thanks in advance Last edited by CaliE90; 05-10-2009 at 03:10 PM.. |

Please note it says "stock wattage". It's really not a good idea to go higher than what was originally there for exactly the reason you are asking about, a lot more heat than originally intended.
I can't speculate as to what might melt, but something might, especially if what was there was originally 35w. |

thanks frank for the input do you think 70w would cause any issues? I'm going to Long's tomorrow for install and I don't think I have the time to order a set from e92-lighting

If that's the case then I'm sure he'll know what to do. I thought you were just going to plug them in directly. If he runs wires you'll be fine...
Oh, and I'm betting the stock ones are 51W. Last edited by jzchen; 05-11-2009 at 10:47 AM.. Reason: Stock wattage. |
