Dull Area on Fender

I bought this car used. There's a 6" X 2" dull area on the fender. I don't have access to orbital grinders, but am willing to put in manual sweat equity. What product do I use, and can I use a MF towel to apply it?

I would stay away from any grinder, you could be left with devastating results.... Hopefully you are talking about a D/A which would definately help out, but results may be achieved manually.

This might even be an airbrush repair that may have been performed, hard to say without pics. If this type of repair was done, it may need a light colorsand and a polish to make the spot more brilliant and glossy.

If it is overspray from previous bodywork on adjacent panels, try the following...

a) Wash area properly and dry
b) Clay with mist and wipe using MF
c) Applicator pad and a light polish, apply by hand then remove with MF

If the results that you are looking for are acheived above, then follow up with a premium wax or sealant by hand, then remove with MF.

If results are not achieved consult a professional detailer in your area....
