6th Tri-State Meet- Livingston Diner and "S curve" crusie-5/30 1pm

Time for the 6th meet! This is a pretty good diner but near by are the world famous Jersey S curves. So we will meet up grab a quick bit to eat and then go driving for a bit.

What ever Happened to Bear Mountain or Jersey shore, and calling them the "World Famous" S curves is a bit of a stretch, but it would be a lot of fun to drive through the rest of the South Mountain Reservation Brookside Dr especially. Also we could do a BBQ at The Reservation they have BBQ pits, draw back lot of people from Newark going for a Spring "Holiday". But im defenitley joining you guys its a bit of a trek for me to get there though haha

Bear moutain will happen again for pics and crusie... bbq was awesome but stressful for me so i never got to talk and chill cuz i had to cook. Also after all the e90's got busted there for speeding i didnt think it was a great idea.

Jersey shore will def happen... most likely mid july at lavalette, NJ

S curves are pretty fun...similar to a strechted out lombard st in San Fran...then the drive thru south mth would be nice.

We tried to do a bbq at the pits near south mtn but you need to reserve them and pay like 100 bucks deposit etc... so it requires ALOT of upfront planning and the way most our meets turn out it is like 50-75% attendance so I won't be fronting the cash if ppl bail.

Next time give me suggestions and we can plan around your guys sced and location

I pick the dates and location just so we have it on calender or it never happens...so please lmk i am VERY open to suggestions

Suggestions should potentially consider somewhere in the Delaware Water gap... Its about as far away for folks in real North NJ (passaic/bergen county) and NYC as lavalette or the shore would be.

Johnny's hotdogs on rte 46 might be a good spot?

I like the idea of the shore. Lavalette is a nice place. I wonder if Sandy Hook would be a good spot? What about around high point? Someplace up 9W or in the palisades? Captree was great, and a super nice place, but coming from NJ out that way ends up costing $20 in tolls...

Just throwing ideas out.

i think next meet at the gap is a good idea.... but its a hike for some LI'ers

Think Bear Mt. is a bit cooler place, IMO anyway. As a LI'er have no prob doing bear, love the drive! Dont have to deal with the NJ pky or tpk, just hit the PSP all the way. Love the Lake Tioratti road!! Also bear should just be a short treck for any NJ,PA,CT,NY, even MA 1ers.
