audi A4 2.0T quattro or bmw 328 sedan
which one is a better choice....recently my frd is deciding whether to get an 09" audi a4 2.0t quattro or a 09" 328 sedan (LCI).....for my personal opinion i would say A4 2.0T quattro...not only becuz of the price but also the safty(quattro) and performance(turbo engine 211hp 258torque).<no offense to 328 owners!!!its just the way i feel>

i have tried both A4 2.0 2009 and BMW e92 328xi and BMW 335xi before i purshase my bmw
A4 2.0 2009 - hot outlook (especially the LED) - the engine sounds really great! - however the brake sucks and the handling is really...... (no offense to a4 09 owners) -also hot interior with most advanced technology E92 328xi - doesnt have much power...NA engine - good handling - boring interior - price are high and no packages are include. |

I too have driven both and I have to say BMW hands down. When I drove the A4, it felt big and un-connected. I couldn't get over how boring the drive was. Now, I did drive the automatic in the A4 and that could have been a big contributing factor to it's "boring-ness". My previous car was an '05 A4 1.8T so I'm not bashing Audi's.

The new Audi's look hot! I'd get the Audi over the BMW if you based it on looks alone, but I guess there is the driving factor. Oh, and also we all know that we're so much cooler than Audi people.

The latest issue of Car and Driver compared the two, and the 328i won hands down...
... also a word about those sexy LED DRLs on the A4.... how many have you seen on the roads with one working and one busted? I've seen a lot, and it looks like shit at that point! |

I think the LED turns off when the blinker is on... it's the same as the Chryslers. I have no idea why people think that is a good idea to do that.

If you got a penis, some muscle size, and a decent pair of testicles then you might want to stick with a BMW.
If you got a vagina, a nice set of tits, and a great pair of legs then you probably should stick with the Audi. |

the amber turn signal is too weak when the LEDs are on I guess so they turn off the LEDs when turn signals are blinking

But the Chryslers doesn't have LEDs, yet they have theirs turned off... come to think of it, I always think the Chryslers/Dodges all had high-beam all the time... guess those halogens are bright...

anyways, i havent driven either...but i have driven my friends 06 2.0t quattro and i myself have an 06 325i. both are nice cars, and more than enough for what most ppl do...drive to and from work with the occasional spirited drive on open roads. i do think the interior of the audi is nicer and more refined. the e90 interior is, well, blah. you do feel some of that turbo lag on the audi's tho, and it does get kind of annoying and getting used to cuz all of a sudden you get this rush of energy as soon as the turbo kicks in. but with a simple ecu flash for $700, you're over 250hp with almost 300tq...something to think about!

my only problem with the A4 is that the handling was surprisingly really bad....

how much are they quoting you monthly for the A4 2.0t quattro..
i never thought of switchin fm a bmw to audi but between 2.0t & 328xi i would defn go for the audi...esp. cuz of the flash available...as far as 335i and 3.2 defn bmw...just change the springs or the suspension and u r good to go...trust me the 328xi (not talkin bout regular i) doesn't handle that much better cuz my friend had one |

Having driven both...I can affirm that the Audi A4 doesn't handle as well as the BMW. Partly this is due to size.
The new 2009 Audi A4 is based on the new and longer wheelbase chassis from the A5. I was surprised at how big the A4 has grown. While previous generation A4s always skimped on rear leg room, the longer wheelbase gives limo-like space in the rear. There is ample legroom even with the driver seat extended well towards the back. However you do feel this girth on the road. Especially under hard cornering. I was at the BMW comparison drive where we were able test all the cars on an autocross setup. It was certainly harder to dodge the cones in the Audi A4. You really had to fight understeer and coax the rear to come around. The BMW felt more nimble. You didn't feel like you had an acre of car following behind you. Despite the higher torque figures, the Audi A4 did not feel significantly faster than the BMW 328Xi. If anything, the Mercedes C300 felt faster off the line than both. Having said that, I would agree that the interior of the Audi is better than the BMW. The exterior is mixed for me. I love the Audi signature DRLs. But the car looks rather too long and big to evoke a sporty and nimble look. I prefer the facelifted look of the BMW. It looks more balanced and in proportion to me. But that may come from bias being a BMW owner. Interior design: Audi A4 2.0T 9/10 BMW 328Xi 8/10 Mercedes C300 7.5/10 Lexus IS 250 AWD 6.5/10 Handling: BMW 328Xi 9/10 Mercedes C300 8/10 Lexus IS 250 AWD 7/10 Audi A4 2.0T 6/10 |
