Road trip Calgary

Hi all...this is my first post at the e90post. We just bought a e90 325xi and about to do a road trip this may long weekend from Calgary to Vancouver. We will be leaving on May 13 and come back on May 18. Does anybody know any good scenic route to take?

Calgary to Banff - Lake Louise - Icefield Parkway - Jasper - Vancouver.

Did this last summer.

either route will be scenic. Ive done the drive from van - calgary many times and love it.

Awesome...we can hardly wait for this trip.....on the way back we are thinking of going through Kewlona and take the one and only free ferry across the kootney lake...

im sure if he lives in Calgary, he has been to those places like banff, lake louise, columbia icefield ..... just take Hwy 1 to Van, on ur way back take Coquihalla up to Hwy 16 to Jasper/Edmonton and back down to Calgary?

yeah I've been to those places before but beyond that I have no eye deer how the roads are. the most east from Calgary that I've traveled by driving is Golden via Hwy1 and the other trip I did is to Trail BC via Salmo pass....may be what I should do is take hwy1 on the way to vancouver and coming back take the south road which is Hwy5 then merge to Hwy3 via Kelowna. What do you guys think?

here is the route we took from Calgary to Vancouver...

then from Vancouver to Calgary...we took the scenic route...There is also a ferry across the Kooteney lake..which is free...
