Hooking up subwoofer amplifier to factory amplifier.. NEED HELP

I am going to be hooking up subwoofer to the factory amplifier and I do not want my subwoofer to be affected by the balance/fader options on the factory head unit. How do I go about connecting that?

What are you looking to gain by hooking up a sub to the factory amp? I don't think there's a sub out there that the amp could push without sounding like crud.

I am not hooking up a sub to a factory amp. I am hooking up my aftermarket amp to the factory amp that connects to the subwoofer.

And where is that? Can you just answer the question?

I have noticed quite a few new posts by you asking questions that have been answered over and over before. Your responsibility on this - and other - forums is to search the archives extensively before posting a new question. The search function is there for a reason! I have also noticed your responses to people trying to help you to be blunt, inconsiderate and sometimes rude.

Show some common sense, appreciation and respect, and you too will benefit from the wealth of information in this forum and the knowledge and experience of its users.

I wasn't trying to be rude. I was just saying that a link rather than just a lecture on using forums may be more helpful.

The problem with your rationale is that you are literally admitting that you do not want to search at all... that's a big no-no in forums, and you will be slammed for it like it or not.

Yes, I can. But since you started posting in AV you have alternated between the behavior Technic describes - asking questions without searching - and another annoying behavior - posting useless opinions based on no knowledge. You have just pulled some stuff out of your ass.

Free help rarely looks the way we want it to.

all kidding aside, that's the first thing you should do before starting a new thread: search.
