Some pics of my track wheels, and some of the M3 on track...

This was a month ago at the first track event of the season. I shared the M3 with my GF who was attending her 2nd track day. She's still a noob but did well, although she lost some confidence during the rainy sessions. She drove in the beginner's group and I drove the advanced group. Most of the pics are taken by me, and a few taken by professional photographers contracted to shoot the event. Can you tell which ones? I need to work on my panning shots, or maybe next time remember to bring my monopod.

Details on my track set up before anyone asks: Square set of D-Force LTW 18x9.5 with Nitto NT01 275/35 all around. Rogue Engineering 12mm spacers front and back. Brakes: stock with Pagid RS19 pads and Castrol SRF fluid. Eibach pro-kit springs with stock EDC (these felt really very competent on track and I did not feel the need to go to coilovers, yet).

This was supposed to be a pic I could send to her mom...

A slalom exercise for beginner groups: gf is about to murder the cone...

Thanks for sharing, and very nice photos. Is there any rubbing with this setup? I am seriously considering it. Another questions: Why did you chose Eibach springs as opposed to H&R. Again, car looks amazing!

No rubbing at all. Went with Eibach simply because I felt the H&R drop up front was too much for my liking. The Eibach drop is just right to me.

18.4 lbs for the 18x9.5 size according to the manufacturer. Very light for a non-forged wheel. Seems strong enough so far. Been put to the test by yours truly over 6 track days so far, including one brutally bumpy venue where I hit some corner curbing pretty hard at speed.

Offset is +35. Needs spacers for an E9x M3. I use 12mm Rogue Engineering spacers on all four corners. Works great. Got the wheels and the spacers from Bimmerworld.

Just purchased these in 18x10 275/35/18... Brought 18mm spacers. I hope they fit!

Hey I don't think I've ever seen you in the Chicago area before. I used to track my E46 before the E92

Will you be at Autobahn for Trackdaze May 30-31 Mvp June 1st?? I have like 8 events left this year hope to see you around so I have someone to help play with the older M3's
They have some type of vendetta against E9x M3's on the track lol

Anyway sorry for thread jack, we could talk on ChitownM.com

Hi Masmole,

I am probably going to get the 18x9.5 D-Force wheels with 275/35/18 tires as a track setup.

I already have 15mm spacers form my previous E46 325Ci that are laying around in my garage. Do you think 15mm instead of 12mm would work fine or would you anticipate issues such as inside fender rubbing?

Thanks!

I just purchased D force wheels 18X10! with 275/35 square set up and used 18mm spacers. There is no fender rub at all. It is a very aggressive set up. The wheels are sick... My assistant (she) was walking around the office carrying the wheel with one hand.

Where did you buy the wheels in 18x10!!! Were they special order?? I didn't think they made that size!
Do they have 25mm offset? You wont need spacers if they're that's what I am looking for.

Please respond soon I'm trying to get a set desperately before a track event I have on the 30th

Car looks awesome! That's pretty cool your GF comes along. I've been trying to get my wife to start going to HPDEs.

The pics look good. Kind of easy to tell which ones were taken by the pro since some don't have a passenger
