Static with 6FL?

Has anyone ever heard static when the iPod is connected to the iPod/USB (6FL) connection? I hear static sometimes when songs are playing, but I don't know if it's the track or there is something wrong with the connection.

Also, with the new CIC iDrive, has anyone ever had the problem when you want to change the track on the iPod you can highlight it, push down (you see the box on the screen moving) but it doesn't play it?? This has happened to me a lot.

I only heard static when I used cassette adapter. The iPod connection in the E90 is digital so that shouldn't happen.

I was getting static too. It was after I plugged in my Sirius Sportster in the aux adapter and then unplugged it to put my iPod back in.

I realized I had turned up the AUX lvl setting to 5 or 6 for Sirius. I turned it down to 3 and no more static!

I am having the same issue.
I have a 2008 e90 with idrive and when i connect my Ipod video i get static.
Surprisingly this issue is not there with Sonyericsson Xperia X1. When my friend connected this to the Aux in there was no static while listening to music.
Any help will be great.
Cheers
