Fog light is ON the whole time, Fog light switch can only be use when head light is on and it control the angel eye now.
which means in day time the fog light is on as DRL, night time if its set as AUTO the HEAD light will on along with Fog light. but then you have to turn on the angel eye by press the fog light switch.

since i have to take the lip off so i was thinking why not change something at the same time, nothing to do with the DRL.

if i understood it correctly:

when u start the car, foglights on, DRL (angel eyes)off
you set the fog switch to the on position, angel eyes on and everything else off
when u set to auto at night, both fogs and lowbeams are on even without the fog switch at the on position

care to share a little DIY write-up?

but then i guess e90 is different since we dont have engel eyes as DRL

i think he meant he swapped the wires between angel eyes and fog lights, the angel eye is off all time unless u press the fog light button with the switch at auto/on.

Yes but... the whole point is that we want our angel eyes to be our DRLs (so the ONLY thing on is our angel eyes) instead of our fogs.

why dont you just switch the knob one time over..save yourself $80. dont know if the kit disables the current amber drl...but even so, disabling the drl only costs ~$40...

switching the knob one time over only activates the amber corners on my e90, angeleyes don't come on

would disabling the oem DRL for $40 also make the angeleyes illuminate on an e90 for DRL?

I'm not with you on this one! I'd rather spend the $80 than switch the knob over all day!

i dont mean to the auto light (left one click). i mean to the driving rights (right one click). used to do this in my sedan all the time.

and disabling the drl's (amber portion) just disables it. still need to click once to the right.
