Could you guys help me with wheel selection!!
Hey guys,
I didnt really want to start a new thread about this, as there are many in the wheels section. I already did my research among those but as I'm limited on the options, I wanted to open this in Canada section, because you would understand my situation. Ordering from U.S doesn't seem like an option to me right now. I will most likely be looking something local. I wish to use my stock 18" RFT tires with the setup: 235/40-18 Front 255/35-18 Rear I know u will tell me these tires suck but I've got to use them unfortunately. I'm looking for a set of wheels that are not really expensive. The car is Black Sapphire e92 xi, with Coral Red interior. My preference is Black/Matte black wheels (No chrome parts in it) that will fit my tire setup, I would consider custom painting them after. 18" staggered M6 reps would have been really nice if they make those. I checked the forum archives, it indicates that they're only staggered for 19", but I'm not sure if this has changed in the last 2 years? Can I find staggered setup in 18"? Could you guys tell me any other suggestions, what kind of wheels can I get in Canada (GTA area mostly), and perhaps some pictures. Any of your inputs, and your time is greatly appreciated! -ps I really don't wish to put any wheels that will not match with the look of a BMW. Thanks in advance! |

yea you can get staggered 18" m6 reps locally for around 800-900...try maxxim wheels in markham. they also have a website. jsut google. afterward, you'll have to either DIY or take it to be powdercoated. cost to powdercoat is around $150-$200 a rim.
many places to do so locally as well, just do a quick search

Breyton Race GTS / GTS-R in either black or matte grey. There are a couple guys in Vancouver that have these and they look fantastic on AW or SMB e90/e92's. I'm not sure if you can source them locally in TO; most out west got them from TireRack.com and had them shipped to just across the border and imported the wheels themselves.
The matte grey is way darker in real life than in the photo. Almost a matte gun-metal colour.

Thanks for the reply! Yes, I have contacted maxim wheels yesterday, apparently they are sold out on staggered 18s. However its good to know that this setup is available. I called a powdercoating company they quoted me 65$ per wheel is this too low price? I heard before it was supposed to be around $200 per wheel, so i was surprised. They're called Airs powdercoating, i found them on google.

Yea, you can only get the Breyton 19" in a staggered setup... The 18" VMR V710s can be purchased in a staggered setup though if you were looking for something similar.
