Runflat Potenzas..

yo is $650 a piece a normal price for those things? I got 2 for the rear of my car (255's on 18' rims) and it costed me nearly $1600 at the dealership. that's more than it costs for a whole set of normal tires.. was I just ripped off or am I to expect this kind of pricing for performance run-flats? and please don't recommend summer/performance tires as you all know this car doesn't come with a spare and I don't wanna have to tow my car 200km down the highway.

Just get the tires yourself and get the dealer to install or get a tire shop to install the new tires. You may save a bit of money... Check tirerack online.

You was bent over and violated with no lube man.

These RFT's are damn pricey, but $1600 sounds way out of line.

I bought the OEM 19" runflats from tirerack.com and had them shipped to my door. It cost me $1300 canadian, total, for the two rears (255/30/19)

Given an exchange of about 1.2... that put them at about C$420... add in duty & shipping... and you'll you'll be close to C$500 per tire plus taxes.

So I think what iPodAddict paid is reasonable.

For the GTA folks we can just find a shop in buffalo and drive down to get them replaced cheap.

I did that with all my previous cars however I don't know about the run flats tho.

Not only werer you bent over and violated with no lube, they double stuffed you as well!!

Brian Jessel told me the same thing to try and sell me the tire and wheel warranty for $750.......told me that one runflat would cost $650 so its totally worth it.

I called him on it, quoted the Tirerack price of like half and he insisted that I could only get the tire from BMW and that I must have got the price on the wrong tire.

Needless to say he wasnt happy with me when I kept declining to buy the warranty....

On another note apparently I could only put runflat snows on my car as well because if I dont it would wreck my suspension......again another attepmt to sell me shit.

At that point I was getting pissed......needless to say the my sales guy was great but the financing guy was a dick.

O well I guess for everyone customer like me that knows something about cars there is a customer like my wifes friend who just got herself tripled stuffed when she got her car and bought every warranty and protection package they offered.....

Dont get anything from the dealer if you can help it.......just my 2 cents!!

I don't mean any disrespect but I don't undestand why you people go to dealer for every little thing such as oil change, tires... You can buy tires on line for much lower price and have them installed at professional tire place. Same for oil change. Buy oil/filter at dealer and either do it yourself or pay any mechanic shop $15-20 to change the oil for you.

it just drives me carzy seeing dealers rubbing off peole
